Da Vinci The Exhibition is a hands-on exploration of Leonardo da Vinci’s life, research, and art, developed by Aurea Exhibitions and produced by Imagine Exhibitions, Inc. Guests can go beyond the canvas, exploring over 65 life-size inventions, more than 20 fine art studies, and captivating displays.

Through this window is a home

In an assemblage of images, colours and scents, Harvey Nichol and Michaela Bridgemohan examine the Peacock Chair as a source of conceptual inspiration. “Through this window is a home” takes notice of the ways in which colonialism shrouds non-European cultures as mythic and/or non-existent.

Pilot Astronauts

Between the 1970s and 1990s, the term astronaut families referred to family arrangements in Asia where the fathers remained in their home country to work while the mothers migrated to the west. Pilot Astronauts by Raeann Kit-Yee Cheung celebrates the early astronaut mothers, their strength, and their humanity.

Kewanee Street

This exhibition explores the affinities and connections between the hilltop artistic communities of Kewanee Street and Leighton Art Centre. It is a two person show featuring Malcolm Mooney and Doyle Lane who were neighbours in the ’80s and both lived on Kewanee Street in Los Angeles.

Building Black Civilizations

In this exhibition, artist Ekow Nimako explores what might have been when ruler Abu Bakr II chose to abdicate his throne and set out across the Atlantic. Using LEGO® to recreate epic possibilities, Nimako creates a narrative of Black civilizations and imagines liberated futures.

Buy Me A Drink, Joe

Since premiering, Forte Musical Theatre has produced 29 shows, won 25 awards, and entertained tens of thousands of patrons. Join them for a new musical celebrating 15 years of his songs that tell the story of how a guy from Calgary fell in love with musical theatre.

Party Time

A poetic romance set in rural Ireland about neighbours stuck in a land feud. Anthony and Rosemary grew up on adjacent farms and are now on the brink of catastrophe as they fight back despair and stubborn follies to unearth the magic of finding their hearts’ true home.

FascinAsian Film Festival

The FascinAsian Film Festival premieres during Asian Heritage Month showcasing Asian contributions to film and media. This Festival platforms both emerging filmmakers and seasoned professionals. Beyond the films, they also offer cultural experiences including performances and food. Don’t miss it!

Sasquatch Sally

Calgary Young People’s Theatre combines folklore, familial drama and just a tiny sprinkle of summer camp shenanigans, this theatrical tale is as unique as a sasquatch! In the summertime, some kids choose to stick close to family, others craft new memories with their cabin roommates, while some find themselves making friends with the impossible.

Calgary Artists Studio Tour

This year the tour has expanded to over 80 local artists participating across our beautiful city and surrounding areas. This is a self-guided tour where you get to meet each artist in their home or shared studio space, and you can plan your visit at your own pace.
